Beer is great for drinking and washing hair in, but its empty barrels are more useful for constructing rafts on which to escape desert islands and pirates. Enjoy plain ale-ing with today’s Groupon at West Beer.
Choose from the following options:
• £11.70 for a 45 minute tour for 2 people (£29.40 value)
• £21.75 for a 45 minute tour for 4 people (£58.80 value)Showered in gold medals from the prestigious Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft (DLG), West Beers is the only brewery in the UK to produce all its beers according to the German purity law (Reinheitsgebot). Leaving out sour tastes like artificial additives, colouring and preservatives, the beer-making specialists fuse tradition with cutting edge technology to create an array of bubblicious treats that echo the great flavours found in European breweries. Nestled within an old Victorian carpet factory the brewery, with its on-site restaurant, can be found on Glasgow Green and is one of the city’s protected sites.

Ensuring all taste-buds are prepared and intact, pairs and quads can embark on a 45 minute adventure learning the intricate process of producing beer and sampling tastes en-route. Visitors will get to watch the Germany-imported technology produce some of the finest beers with high copper chimneys and an automated control system. Having gained ample understanding of tricky process, customers can kick back and relax in the beer hall and enjoy a glass of the St Mungo’s whilst overlooking the brewers at work in the brewhouse.
