Snuggled on the shores of the Babin Kuk peninsula, Argosy Hotel sits just five minutes from the ruddy glow of Dubrovnik’s sun-blushed rooftops. A place where central Europe meets the Balkans, Croatia has a tantalising mix of landscape with more than 1000 islands spread up the coast. The historic city of Dubrovnik basks at the country’s base, a romantically gothic city proudly flashing its UNESCO World Heritage status. By day, a site of stone paved streets, dappled with sparkling waters and intimate beaches, and a lively hub of stylish bars and dance clubs when the sun goes down.

With orange, palm and pine trees in the gardens, and stunning views of the sea and Daksa Island from its terraces, Argosy Hotel is perfectly primed for soaking up the senses of an Adriatic summer. Dalmatian and international cuisine sizzles up in the restaurant, and lighter snacks can be nibbled from the pool bar during lazy summer days. The outdoor pool and sunloungers balance dipping and sunbathing requirements, while the cove shore of Cava Beach can be reached with a few sandy steps.
Within the sights of the Old Town’s northern gate, the hotel is a short stroll from the historical city’s epicentre, where the remaining fortified city walls protect cobbled streets and UNESCO heritage beauties. Royal relics and Renaissance art rub shoulders at The Rector’s Palace, and the Roland’s Column and the bell tower compete for skyline dominance in Luza Square. Bathe on the abundance of modest cove beaches and take a snorkel in the sparkling clean waters, although if you’re not one for tan lines the beaches in the Cava area bear a more naturist approach.

The Argosy Hotel received a King sized 4/5 from TripAdvisors. While the décor split some opinions, many visitors praised the hotel’s location, and gave special mention to the friendly staff.
What make this hotel special are the people working there. So helpful, friendly and caring for their quests [sic]! You give a little smile to any of the staff, and get a bigger back!

This hotel has a superb location with idyllic views (if you get a sea view) but easy access to the city i.e. the best of both worlds. The food is excellent and dining in the evening is superb with the rays of the setting sun flooding the whole area.
