Road: The hotel is situated just south of the town centre and is best accessed by northbound traffic via the A66M. Southbound traffic should exit the A1M at junction 58 and go around the town, taking the A68, B6280, A67 and A167.

The grounds and the local walks took you away from the rat race and allowed you to relax, the hotel itself, yes the decor could do with updating but nothng [sic] detracts from the overall warmth of the place.
