The Hotel
Hiding its four-star splendor within a 16th century coaching inn, this rustic and relaxed hotel combines traditional styles with modern day indulgences. The Guildhall Tavern Hotel & Restaurant caters to fine tastes with gastro pub-style dining and real ales in a homely environment that’s warmed with open fires. Original beams and rich oak panelling adorn elegantly furnished interiors, while a clutch of cosy rooms offer comfort and seclusion with en suite facilities and other welcome conveniences.
Groupon Recommends
Conquer historic curiosity with an intrepid trek to nearby Denbigh Castle, the 13th century ruins of which overlook the town from atop a scenic headland. Elsewhere, a chugging trip on the volunteer-run Llangollen Railway will provide unique views of the surrounding valley, rivers, and moorland, while the fully resorted steam locomotives are a spectacle in themselves. When not riding the rails, stroll up Llangollen Canal to take in the country air and explore the heights of Britain’s tallest aqueduct, which is reportedly surrounded by a charming community of local otters.

Reviews
TripAdvisors award Guildhall Tavern a super 4/5 stars. While opinions regarding certain aspects of the rooms vary, reviewers praise the quality of dining, room decor, and service.
Friendly welcome, enthusiastic staff and good service both in the bar and restaurant. Excellent welsh cooked breakfast. Room comfortable and well appointed but could not find a hair dryer. Will definitely be returning!

Lovely stay here for one night whilst visiting family. They gave us a lovely, clean room with loads of character. The bar is a lovely place to get all cosy and have a lovely drink or two and a meal and all the locals and staff are very warming and friendly!
