The Hotel
Surrounded by lush parkland on Lake Garda’s banks, the hotel overlooks the beach of San Felice del Benaco, holidaymakers taking a dip in the lake or a lazy day in the sun. In the hotel restaurant and bar, large picture windows frame beautiful views of the lake and its green-carpeted banks, while a piano offers the opportunity of live music and entertainment. Drive the 20 or so minutes to Il Vittoriale, a beautiful and intriguing villa that was once home to controversial Italian writer Gabriele d’Annunzio, or make the journey to the lemon grove and olive tree-filled woods in the Parco Alto Garda Bresciano. Ferries make it easy to travel round the lake, and a visit to Garda Island will open up further beauty spots, including a Venetian neo-Gothic manor framed by Italian and English gardens.

Airport: Verona airport is 53km from the hotel, reachable in an hour’s drive, while Milan Bergamo airport is 86km away, taking around and hour and 10 minutes to drive.

Top Tip
For a sedate way to explore the area’s other towns, the hop-on hop-off ferries make it easy to cross the water, as well as offering dramatic lake views.

We were very happy with the hotel on the whole, reception staff were exceptionally lovely, the buffet meals were plentiful and not overly crowded, the grounds were pleasant and spacious with three, yes three pools and gorgeous views.
