The Hotel

Standing 300 metres from its own private beach, the Hotel Admeto combines four-star splendour with sunny surrounds to comfortably house Sicily's visitors. The ground floor restaurant flaunts fine Sicilian produce where possible, and plates up a homely menu of Mediterranean delicacies, all of which come accompanied by the region’s distinct black bread. A glass-walled VIP lounge with views of nearby Greek temples adds an epic touch to fourth-floor dining, while a 24 hour wine and cocktail bar mixes up exotic treats to be enjoyed on the terrace night and day. In addition to a beach full of umbrellas, deck chairs, and sun loungers, the hotel boasts a warming solarium with inspiring views over the Mediterranean Sea.
Hotel address: Via Palinuro, 3, 91022 Marinella di Selinunte, Castelvetrano, Sicily.

Groupon Recommends

Have a legendary time with a 200 metre trek to Selinunte Archaeological Park, where Greek mythology comes alive in the form of ancient colonnades, a ruined acropolis, and the re-erected Temple of Hera. Other historic threads can be followed at the former military stronghold of Marsala, which boasts a colourful tapestry museum, a replica Carthaginian ship, and a scenic lagoon and nature reserve. Dip into other treasures at the capital of Palermo, the many cultural hot spots of which include the Teatro Massimo opera house, where world-class performances can be taken in amid grandly restored surroundings.

The Stay

  • Standard double room with en suite, air conditioning, and satellite TV
  • Breakfast and dinner served each day
  • Access to the private beach with use of umbrellas, deck chairs, and sun loungers
  • Wi-Fi internet available throughout the hotel

Transport

Airport: Palermo and Trapani Airports are roughly 95km and 68km from the hotel, respectively.
Car hire: Choice of operators available at Palermo and Trapani Airports, or in the Marinella di Selinunte area. Airport transfers are available for a surcharge

Top Tip

If renting a car, a small vehicle is widely recommended, as the country and mountain roads of Sicily are notoriously narrow and difficult to manoeuvre.

Reviews

Hotel Admeto earns a decent 7.8/10 from Bookers, and an admirable 4/5 stars from TripAdvisors. While opinions regarding dining vary, reviewers praise the proximity to beaches and helpful personnel.

This is an excellent four-star-hotel. The price is good, the view over the ocaen [sic] is incredible, the staff is friendly, the rooms are good, the location is ok, close to the beach, but not to many restaurants nearby. Breakfast is very good. Strongly recommded [sic].
