The Hotel
A four star establishment roughly 100 metres from the beach, The Hotel Costa Doria conjures the warm heart of Sardinian hospitality with a wood-fired pizza oven and buffets piled high with big pink prawns and deep-red peppers. The rooms are cool affairs of whitewashed walls and wood finishes. There is a curvaceous pool, and sunsets can be watched with a cocktail on the deck by the beach.
Groupon Recommends
Drive up the road to Castelsardo and wander the town's medieval heart, making your way to the cathedral perched on a hilltop and looking out over a glittering sea. Stop off at one of the local restaurants for fresh fish in nothing but a little lemon juice and salt, or seek out one of the sheltered coves that line the coast for hours of dedicated sun worship. Those looking to explore a bit further can go windsurfing in Cala Ostina bay, while the truly adventurous can head 60km west around the bay to Stintino, crossing the waters to the Asinara National Park.

- Classic double room with TV and en suite bathroom
- Buffet breakfast and dinner each day

Reviews
The Hotel Costa Doria received 3.5/5 from TripAdvisors. While opinions varied on the location, some visitors took the chance to explore and enjoyed the relaxing out-of-town atmosphere.
Glorious beach two minutes [sic] walk away with nice cafe and really special little grotto with statue of the Virgin Mary on the sea front. Local transport to Castelsardo frequent and other places.

We also enjoyed trips to Sassarie and Santa Teresa opting to eat a picnic overlooking the sea instead of a pizza with our fellow travellers. Rooms were clean and serviced daily and the pool cool and refreshing.
