The Hotel
Reflecting the classic and elegant tones of the city, the four star Hotel Palazzo dal Borgo resides in a 15th century Renaissance building with original features, curved vaults, and artistic masterpieces hanging from its walls. The building’s cream-coloured walls encase 34 en suite bedrooms laden with Florentine interiors and contemporary home comforts, while its dining room is laid out with a magnificent ceiling and ornate silver tea sets. Eager to impart their cultural expertise, the hotel also runs evening lectures on the art and history of the city with a guest speaker from the University of Florence.
Groupon Recommends
Make your way to the historic square of Piazzale Michelangelo and take in the panoramic views of the city, before heading to The Piazza del Duomo to cast an eye over the white, green, and red marble dome of the 15th century Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. Take a breather at the Ponte Vecchio, the medieval bridge twinkling alongside gold jewellery shops, and watch the trickling waters of the Arno River pass underneath it. Delve deeper into the Renaissance by paying a visit to the Galleria degli Uffizi and marvelling at one of the world’s largest collections of masterpieces, followed by a trip to the Galleria dell’Accademia to steal a glance at Michelangelo’s David. Retail therapy, a classic pastime in the city, is accommodated by the Via de Calzaiuoli and Via de Tornabuoni, known as some of Florence’s trendiest streets, with the likes of Gucci and Prada competing for the limelight.

Walking distance from the downtown Florence and the main train station. The staffs [sic] were very friendly too. Lots of space in the room and clean bathrooms. We also enjoyed the full breakfast.

Our family shared a room on the ground floor; the ambience was great, beautiful ceiling and four poster beds! We loved this hotel. Everything was so clean and welcoming. The breakfast was exquisite. The location is great as Florence is compact and easily accessible by foot ...
