Carry on along the promenade a stumble across Parc Phoenix, a botanical garden and tropical glass house with over 2,500 different species of plant-life and a collection of exotic birds. A little closer to the hotel, the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art is around a 25-minute walk away and decorates its walls with over 400 pieces from the 1960s to the present day, while the Russian Orthodox Cathedral makes for an imposing sight with its five domes replicating the Cathedral of St. Basil the Blessed on Moscow’s Red Square.
