Steeped in Gothic majesty, this mansion house hotel bases its leisurely facilities and 103 rooms amid grandly landscaped gardens in Bingley, just a short drive from Bradford, Haworth and the Dales. The Mercure Bradford North Hotel satiates worldly appetites with an international array of dishes at its Arts Brasserie, while spirits, wines, and chilled beers are served alongside light meals at the Club Bar 24 hours a day.
In Bingley, go with the flow and enjoy a relaxing amble beside the scenic Leeds and Liverpool canal, where decorative barges surmount the valley slopes via a distinctive five rise lock dating back to 1774. Sailing northward, refresh senses with a hike along the limestone hills, waterfall trails, and village streets of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, which is also home to some of the UK’s most extensive cave networks. Read up on the area’s literary history with a journey to the Haworth & Brontë Parsonage Museum, approximately five miles from the hotel, and celebrating the life and work of these famous scribbling sisters. Finally, after taking in the countryside sights, zip into Bradford to sample its famous curry houses.
