About the Show
A night of audacious burlesque frocks and frolics, The Hurly Burly Show rustles and flutters through a contemporary revue of fashion, music, and popular culture. Directed by William Baker and choreographed by Ashley Wallen, the show centres around leading lady Miss Polly Rae, forging her way through a decadent evening of hip wiggling and feather boa brandishing.
Lit up in light bulbs at the heart of London's West End, the Duchess Theatre stages productions year-round, from stirring musicals and classic plays to the odd bit of new talent. Poised in the bubbling rendezvous of Covent Garden, the theatre makes an ideal spot from which to launch a night on the tiles.

Previous versions of The Hurly Burly Show received a racy 4/5 from critics at both The Guardian and The Telegraph. Reviewers applauded the show’s staging and costumes, as well as its air of seductive fun.
I wouldn't claim it's high art, but the show provides a refreshing alternative to Ibsen and is a rousing celebration of the female form.
– Michael Billington, The Guardian, Feb 2010
For those with open minds and a sense of fun, this night of delicious shimmies and classy bump and grind will prove both a tonic and a pleasure.
– Charles Spencer, The Telegraph, Mar 2011
