The Tour
Hopping aboard the restored 1950s double-decker bus, visitors are whisked away from Hilton Hyde Park at 9am for a capital tour with all the trimmings. The on-board guide fills in historical blanks with regards to London’s most famed structures, including Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. After witnessing the infamous Traitors’ Gate, cultural pilgrims can swap bus for river boat, for some waterborne sightseeing on the Thames. The cruise winds past Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, and allows prominent sightings of the ancient Egyptian obelisk, Cleopatra’s Needle.

A final spin on the bus takes travellers past Buckingham Palace, ideally just in time for the ceremonial changing of the Guard. If sentries decide not to flaunt their precise choreography, the Horse Guards Parade provides an equally impressive photo opportunity. Leaving London behind at Victoria station, guests are then swept towards Stonehenge for the last leg of the tour. The coach winds through the scenic chalky plateau of Salisbury Plain before coming to a standstill at the monolithic and iconic monument of Stonehenge. Squeezing into prime position with the aid of a fast track ticket, visitors can enjoy an audio tour of the site before being transported back to London in time for 6pm.

The Merchant
Whether drawn to regal residences, murder mysteries, or quaffing champagne on top of the Eiffel Tower, serial sightseers can have their thirst for travel quenched by Premium Tours. Destination delvers can scour the streets of London from the top of a roofless road-mobile, sample the epicurean delights of jellied eels, or make like a monarch with a light lunch at Harrods.

Reviews

TripAdvisors award Premium Tours a splendid 4/5 stars. While some reviewers would have liked slightly more time at some attractions, they are keen to celebrate the memorable sights, the engaging guides and their enlightening anecdotes.

This is a terrific tour for anyone who has a short time in London. We were able to see many of the sights that London is famous for as well as many out of the way sights that only a tour guide with much knowledge of the city would know …
