The hotel's Waterfront lounge and bar seats guests at the edge of the lake, where they can enjoy a selection of small plates and drinks, while the Lakeside restaurant serves somewhat fancier dishes. Groupon Recommends
A half hour drive into Windsor will bring you to the Royal borough's eponymous castle; the official residence of the Queen and a monument steeped in history. Explore the treasure chest of the state apartments and encounter HRH herself in a special diamond jubilee photo exhibition. Also located in Windsor is the world-famous Ascot racecourse, where a jam-packed events roster means that you can flutter all year round, without the need for an oversized hat. Stay a little closer to the hotel with an educational jaunt around the two buildings that make up Reading Museum. Situated at both the town hall and the Riverside Museum at Blake's Lock, these central attractions house a range of galleries and community-based exhibitions.

The hotel sits next to a large lake in a beautiful and peaceful setting. Our room was spacious with a stunning view of the lake. You have all the essential amenities within the room from tea/coffee selection to hair dryer to iron and ironing board, a fridge and safe box.

We could not fault the staff, who were polite and efficient. The internet worked well. We ate breakfast in the restaurant, even the egg, which we thoroughly enjoyed.
