The Hotel
A traditional riad draped in rich decor and elegant interiors, this hotel marks a corner of Moroccan culture with the Atlantic lapping at its heels. Colourful carpets are mirrored by ornate carved ceilings, while wide archways, patterns, and plants are sandwiched in between. Transport
Flights: Airlines operate regular services to Marrakech from London Stansted, London Gatwick and Manchester, with indirect flights also available from Birmingham. Indirect flights are also available to Essaouira Airport.
Airport: Marrakesh Airport is approximately 200km from Essaouira, and is reachable in an approximately two-and-a-half hour drive. Essaouira Airport is roughly 17km from the hotel, and transfers to and from both airports can be arranged for a supplement.
Car hire: A number of car hire operators are available at the airport.
Top Tip
For a fresh dining experience, head to the seafood grills of Essaouira fish market, where the peckish can choose from a just-unloaded catch, and watch as it is weighed, grilled, and popped on to their plate.

Perfect spot in a corner in the Medina. Staff is very friendly and helpful [sic]. Try to get a room with seaview. Roof terrace (with seaview) could use a makeover, but the served breakfast is good! For diner visit the medina, as it has a variety of very good restaurants. Rooms are clean, beds are good.
