The Apartments

The desert of Tabernas, located a little inland, has been used as a key location in some of Hollywood’s most iconic westerns, and should be top of every film buff’s itinerary.

The golf course is fantastic, in terms of the setting (the mountains provide a wonderful backdrop), condition (perfect), interest/challenges and facilities. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable; and well fitted out. The restaurant provided delicious and well-presented food and a good selection of wines - all very good value. Beautiful lounge area and attractive outside seating area. The staff were brilliant - nothing was too much trouble. If you or all your group are not into golf, two towns nearby, Villaricos (lovely sandy beach ) and Vera (in-land) are interesting towns to visit, and there is a good spa, swimming pools, gym, trim/running trail, mountain bikes to hire, tennis etc.

The key for me is to fly to Murcia as it is that bit closer than Alicante. The resort is very well designed with everything in walking distance to the main entertainment area. Food and service excellent and the golf course was in superb condition. You are treated like the first people to ever stay and I couldn’t recommend Desert Springs more highly.
