The Hotel
Soaking up the coastal sights of the Ionian Sea, the hotel overlooks its own private beach with lagoon blue waters. The creek on which it sits is surrounded by 19th century villas on the tip of Santa Maria di Leuca. An on-site restaurant plates up Italian cuisine including grilled and flambé dishes, with foods such as jams, oils, and wines often locally produced. Tinkling into the night, the piano bar provides live music and opens up on to a sun lounger filled patio with an expansive outdoor swimming pool.
The Stay
Guests can enjoy a taste of Italy with a three course evening meal on one night as well as a liqueur tasting excursion to the stables of a nearby 17th century villa. A continental breakfast of Italian treats can also be consumed each morning to fuel up for the day. Each en suite room is decorated with local artisan pictures, and warm breezes can be let in from the balcony, or the temperature cooled via the thermostatic control air-conditioning. The imposing De Finibus Terrae basilica is devoted to Saint Mary and lies on the former site of a Roman temple, and the town’s harbour front is sprinkled with seafood-serving restaurants and shops.

While yet to be widely reviewed in English, Hotel Terminal received 7.1/10 from Booking.com users and 3.5/5 from TripAdvisors. Though opinions were mixed on the service, guests gave special mention to the hotel’s seafront location.
The location is absolutely lovely, the rooms have stunning sea views, are large and clean. At the restaurant we ate divinely! Also, I highly recommend everyone also [sic] boat tours to the caves in the area!
