The Lodge

Putting its feet up in the sun, the lodge has a typical Mediterranean feel with white washed walls and clay tiled roof. A large swimming pool sparkles in the garden, with warm patios and greenery surrounding the peaceful retreat. A sports zone has facilities for basketball, football, and a spot of tennis, and annual refurbishments keep the family-run retreat’s ball in the most up-to-date court.

The Stay

Greeted with a bottle of wine and welcoming fruit basket, slip straight into the relaxing lifestyle on arrival, securing a spot on the patio sun loungers. Alternatively, stroll a little further and take the resort’s private trail for 25 minute gander to the beach. Casa Biniatram has attracted some encouraging write-ups from impressed holidaymakers. Visitors make special mention of the hotel’s calming atmosphere, although one guest recommends checking ahead if any functions are being held at the hotel to ensure a quiet visit.

We spent two lovely sunny weeks here in October - basic but very nice and clean apartment with terrace where we ate out the whole time, superb big swimming pool, horses and cows for the baby, peace and quiet - what more could we ask for. Idyllic beach 10 mins drive away, and a 20 mins rural path to the sea (no beach). Ciudadela [sic] 10 mins by car, endless places to eat and nice harbour.

Biniatram is neither a hotel, nor is it a farm. It is something in between which is what makes it special. [You’ll] find the personal treatment of a farmer family paired with modern, well furnished rooms and apartments of a 3-4 * hotel including state-of-the-art installations such as a tennis court, a large open-air pool, or a basketball hoop…Don't come here, if: you're looking for nightlife and gastronomical [sic] experiences; you're allergic to hay, horses, animals in general (unless you bring pills); you prefer the anonymity of a large hotel chain where the mini-bar is magically filled every day. Do come here, if: you're searching for a quiet(!) location to relax and unwind; you have a car or a scooter allowing you to explore the island; you want to discover the true beauty of Menorca island while staying in a clean and neatly maintained pension.
