The Resort
Marrying the freedom of a holiday home with the comforts of a hotel, Celtic Haven forms its own seaside community complete with night spots, leisure facilities, and sweeping ocean views. ‘The village’ plays host to 26 cottages, and caters to guests young and old with a children’s playground, all-weather tennis courts, and a characterful nine hole golf course. Employing the freshest Welsh produce wherever possible, the Waves restaurant chef plates up warming Italian classics to complement a sterling cellar of rich and fruity wines. The resort’s spa and gym facilities take in features which range from a swimming pool and sauna to cross-trainers and weights, while additional indulgences may be found at the seven treatment room Elemis Premier Spa.
The Stay
Opening the door on their own private cottage, visiting pairs can freshen up in the resplendent bathroom before fixing up a snack in the kitchen or kicking back in front of the television. A true taste of Wales will greet diners at the restaurant as they settle down for a three course spectacular featuring dishes such as oven-baked Tenby sea bass coated in salt and herb stuffing, local Welsh Black steak served on a pate crouton and stilton sauce, and a sweet-tooth tickling selection of home-made puddings. Epicures may then like to feed their appetite for competition with unlimited free reign of the resort’s nifty golfing facilities, while chill-seekers can the most of their access to the extensive spa.

History-buffs may be keen to explore the ruined walls and turrets of Pembroke Castle, the once grand battlements of which played host to the birth of King Henry VII. To the north, the rambling wilderness of the Preseli Hills invites visitors to uncover a wealth of prehistoric settlements and monuments, and is said to be where many of the rocks used in the construction of Stonehenge were sourced. Travellers in Haverfordwest may like to drive by the Pembrokeshire Motor Museum where a nostalgic selection of vintage cars will delight the most discerning autoists.
Transport
Trains: Manorbier Railway Station is roughly two miles from the resort.
Road: The resort is accessible by taking the M4 to Carmarthen, before changing onto the A40 to St Clears, and finally the A477 to Tenby.

We loved Celtic Haven. The service was excellent, the food in restaurant brilliant, the cottage cosy, the views great. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, it had everything we needed with an 18 month old (included-I do not like paying for a cot etc!).
