The Cottages
A set of sibling lodges nestled within two Devonshire villages, these family-run cottages offer cuddly convenience with open coal fires and fully equipped kitchens. Scenery Cottage serves as a country bolt hole for up to four explorers, situated in the village of Bridford and enveloped by the eastern edge of Dartmoor. Retaining much of its 14thcentury heritage, the village provides an excellent base for exploring the surrounding Teign Valley and the National Park beyond. The larger Pleasant Maris Cottage graces visitors to East Ogwell with a large living room featuring traditional exposed brick walls, as well as a more contemporary conservatory and barbecue facilities for outdoor gastro-tainment.

The front door of Scenery Cottage opens out onto many a rural stroll through the great expanses of its namesake, with walking boots and cameras alike feasted on treks, hikes, and casual rambles. From Pleasant Maris, take your pick of rolling hills, rugged coastline, or sweeping beaches, with both Dartmoor and the Great British west coast within a drive of around 20 minutes. For a bit of city action, take a roughly 30-minute drive to Exeter to marvel at the vast façade of the 15the century cathedral.

Transport
Train: The closest station to Scenery Cottage is Exeter St Thomas, approximately 9 miles away, or around a 17-minute drive.
The closest station to Pleasant Maris Cottage is Newton Abbot, just over 2.5 miles away, or around a ten-minute drive.
Road: For Scenery Cottage, exit the M5 on to the A30 then follow the B3212 and turn left onto the B3193. Turn right onto Pound Lane and into Bridford.
For Pleasant Maris Cottage follow the A38 and then the A380 to Newton Abbot. Take the A381 and turn right, then drive through Ogwell and into East Ogwell
