In Seaways Class inside cabin, with a day in Amsterdam at leisure
The Ship
Bringing the full delights of a cruise to the short-haul ferry trip, DFDS Seaways’ vessel packs a casino, cinema, three restaurants and a clutch of shops into its broad hulk. There's a choice of four bars, and the option to indulge in a little wine, beer, or whisky tasting, as well as plenty of deck space from which to take the sea air. Each of the compact cabins enjoys en suite facilities, and comes complete with towels and bedding.
Groupon Recommends
Cross the undulating of canal bridges before stopping off in the Museum district for a quick peek at a Vemeer or Rembrandt in the Rijksmuseum. The famous Van Gogh museum is nearby, as well as the diamond museums across the road. In the Dam Square is a 15th century Gothic church and a neoclassical Royal Palace, which expands with unapologetic grandeur through an ostentatious interior. Catch a breath in one of Amsterdam’s delectable pancake houses, or sample the local speciality of salted herring from a street stall before heading back to the ship.
