The Hotel
The epitome of Victorian grandeur, the Paragon Hotel is a mighty nineteenth century statement of intricate period architecture and fairy-tale roof spires. The lavish legacy continues inside, with seasonal dishes served up in the fine dining restaurant, while light snacks satisfy more casual cravings in the bar. Historic architecture design is merged with contemporary opulence in each of the over 200 bedrooms, designed for a luxury stay.
The Stay
The en suite rooms welcome you with a bottle of Prosecco, while tea and coffee facilities hang back for later refreshments. High ceilings, soft lamps, and heavy drapes adorn the rooms, with earthy colours oozing style. The culinary delights of a three course meal can be enjoyed on one night, acting as a prelude to the next morning’s full English breakfast. Cars will also be kept snug during the city break with private parking facilities.
Groupon Recommends
Thriving since the early Middle Ages , the grand market of the Bullring is the epicentre of local retail . Moving towards the present day, the Hippodrome is home to resident companies such as the Birmingham Opera Company, as well as the highly-estemmed Birmingham Royal Ballet. Sideling over to a different taste of Brum, the south suburbs of the city play host to an area known as the Balti-Triangle, Birmingham’s equivalent to London’s Brick Lane.

Reviews
Paragon has attracted a number of encouraging reviews. While some guests found the décor old-fashioned, there are plenty of recent reviews praising the hotel’s location, and attentive personnel.
This place has real character. It's quite a gothic looking building, nicely done up inside with leather chesterfield sofas everywhere. There were carol singers in the reception when we checked in, it was lovely. The twin room was small, two single beds. Nicely decorated and clean. It also had a modern flat screen telly and fully stocked tea/coffee/kettle. Ten minutes walk from the Bull Ring, or five from some of the main bars. I would definitely stay here again, you get a lot for your money.

We had a nice big room on one of the corners, so there was plenty of light in the morning. Nice room with modern fittings. Excellent shower and bathroom. Clean and comfortable. No complaints. Room Tip: Our corner room was large and light.
