Opening up its Swiss-styled window shutters to reveal views of the Andorran mountains, the Hotel Comapedrosa gazes across the snowy resort centre of Arinsal. Known for its nightlife and snow-sure pistes, the resort is snuggled under the family shoulder of the Vallnord ski domain. It connects with neighbours Pal and Ordin-Arcalis resorts, with its 2004 rejuvenation meaning state-of-the-art link lifts to carry skiers to new heights.

The Hotel
Blending in with the resort’s updated architecture, the Hotel Comapedrosa moves away from standard ski resort designs opting for a tasteful stone-clad exterior and a rustic Swiss feel. The lively bar downstairs is decked out with a pool table and the usual tipples on tap, and a comfy lounge is a relaxing retreat for skiers to put their feet up. Internet access is available as well as laundry facilities to wash those ski socks.
The Stay
After being greeted at the airport by an awaiting transfer, be driven to the hotel where a modern en suite room welcomes. Settle down with some cable TV before or after heading out to the slopes, or simply slip downstairs to enjoy the après atmosphere at the bar. Live music is often found on most nights in said bar, and a continental buffet breakfast and evening meals are served in the restaurant.
The Slopes
Predominately north-east facing to keep snow fresher for longer, Arinsal snakes around its Andorran mountain range with 68km of piste. Five black runs challenge snow-pros, 18 reds are bashed for those fancying a downhill blast, and 19 blues provide a gentler setting for ski-tired knees and interlinking routes, suitable for beginners. A half pipe is the focal point of the resort’s snow park and the highest lift takes skiers to panoramic views at 2560m.

Perfect location and very friendly staff. Close to anywhere in Arinsal, including Après-ski places and the big gondola to the ski resort.
