An eternal spring in the heart of the Atlantic due to its clement year-round climate, Tenerife’s actual name derives from the majestic white-topped volcanic mountains crowning its centre. The largest Canary Island is home to dazzling African bazaars, quaint fishing villages and a vibrant nightlife which continues to draw visitors to some of its exuberant southern resorts. Walking along the serene coast near the town of Costa Adeje, the warm breeze brings sounds of the livelier Playa de las Americas from down the shore. Black, glittering beaches of volcanic sand meander down towards clear waters ripe for scuba diving and snorkelling. During February the streets beat with the sounds and colours of the Carnaval de Santa Cruz, one of the most spectacular carnivals in the world, with Caribbean rhythms pulsing across the island, accompanied by huge costumes of every colour and shape, and plenty of shaking of peacock-styled tail feathers.

There are other supermarkets nearby, and a wide range of restaurants, bars and shops sit along the coast, with English widely spoken. We came here as a family of three, two parents and a teenage daughter. The resort consisted of activities for the children and the adults. The two restuarants were lovely, great food and great service! The service was great everywhere in the resort, in the reception, the bars and restuarants, the cleaners and the supermarket staff! Overall we had a fabulous time and will definetly be returning to this splendid place! [sic]

Everything was perfect! All the staff were friendly and helpful. There were 6 of us, and we all enjoyed our stay at Paradise! The swimming pool, the jacuzzi, [sic] the bars, the mini-market and the laundry - everything was great! What I highly appreciated was the warm atmosphere of the place. How our family loved sitting on our veranda in the evenings with a glass of wine, watching the ocean and [the] most beautiful sunsets we had ever seen!
