Hiding just over six miles from the ruddy glow of Dubrovnik’s sun-blushed rooftops, the Radisson Blu Resort & Spa cools itself in the soft Adriatic breezes sweeping along its coastal locale. The city of Dubrovnik welcomes visitors along the marble promenade of the Stradum, before sprawling out in a clutter of white-washed homesteads, hodgepodge side-streets, and proud fortresses. For many centuries a crucial seaport, the city still huddles around its marina where fishing vessels bob in antiquated contrast to the grandeur of the towering Franjo Tudman Bridge.

The Hotel
Prospecting the Adriatic’s blue swathes, the Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Dubrovnik Sun Gardens unites five-star comfort and modern styles at a clement, seafront location. Visiting pairs can toast their arrival with a bottle of wine, whetting whistles for a stay in a double deluxe room that comes complete with Wi-Fi internet access, Anne Sémonin toiletries, and a colourful fruit basket. After a day of chilling on the hotel’s private pebble beach, wayfarers may like to give their limbs a stretch before retiring to the on-site spa where facilities are open to guests. A relaxing massage treatment each will calm muscles down as the on-hand therapist ministers to shoulders, backs, and necks with aromatic essential oils. Groupon Recommends
A ferry across Dubrovnik’s bay will take visitors to the small archipelago of the Elaphiti Islands, acting as respite from the city’s urban hubbub with its secluded beaches, Mediterranean greenery, and sleepy fishing villages. Back on the mainland, a careful wander may bring travellers to the limestone fortifications of the Old City Walls where ornate gates and towers will delight lovers of history and architecture alike. A touch of nature can be sampled at the Arboretum Trsteno, which is reportedly the oldest arboretum in this part of the world and boasts a mass of stunning flora, including two majestic oriental plane trees. The Rector’s Palace strikes an astonishing figure beside the Franciscan and Dominican monasteries, combining medieval and Renaissance stylings to forge stunning colonnades and grandly atmospheric cloisters. At the seafront, wandering epicures can find a string of inviting restaurants and eateries dishing up fresh squid, mussels, and seafood risottos.

Reviews

Thanks to a king-sized 4.5/5 stars on TripAdvisor, the Radisson Blu has been placed in the top 10 hotels in Dubrovnik. The picturesque location and modern amenities allowed many to find a healthy bit of R&R.

From the time you entered the grounds you had a feeling that this was going to be a special place. Indeed it was from staff to rooms, from dining to spa facilities all were outstanding. The layout of the site and the spectacular coastal views makes it very user friendly and a place for life long memories. We highly recommend this hotel

We recently stayed at this beautiful resort overlooking the Adriatic Sea just 20 minutes outside of Dubrovnik. The resort is stunning with light and airy rooms beautifully designed and decorated. The views are amazing and one could sit outside on the terrace for hours watching the busy sea traffic produce hundreds of different size and style boats passing by. The service was friendly and efficient and the food at each of the 7 restaurants was delicious and varied.
