With Loch Lomond lapping at its toes, The Inn at Inverbeg bathes its rustic, traditional rooms in the warmth of refurbishment and contemporary flair, with views over the water’s edge to boot.
Take a closer loch with today's Groupon from The Inn at Inverbeg:
This family-owned establishment offers wearied travellers a slice of lochside respite, as plush bedrooms offer a peek in to the highland countryside, and the Beach House serves up watery views. Tummy rumbles can be quashed by Mr C’s Fish and Whisky Bar, where the menu brims over with sustainably sourced seafood and steaks raised on the local estate. With an open fire on hand to keep toes toasty, the bar is topped up with over 200 whiskies from seven Scottish regions, as well as local real ales and a wine list showcasing 30 tipples.
Get involved with the wildlife with a stroll, cycle, or pony trek through forest or water-side trails. Alternatively, choose to cast out with a fishing rod on the loch, while keeping an eye out for an otter or an osprey. Visitors can pop down to Luss, around a seven minute drive away, to jump on a boat tour to chug about some of the islands, nooks, and crannies of Loch Lomond. For a bit of more intrepid exploration, take a picturesque drive of around two hours to Fort William, where quaint streets harbour local boutiques, and the foot of Ben Nevis beckons brave hikers.
Road: Follow the A82 from Glasgow to Loch Lomond, and past Luss. At Inverbeg, turn left towards Glen Douglas. After approximately 0.2 miles, the hotel is on the right hand side.
