The Apartment
A self-contained arrangement of two double bedrooms, a modern kitchen, and a cosy living area, the Ty Copr apartment makes for an ideal base from which to explore the island. The kitchen is fully-equipped and awaits inventive use from seasoned chefs, who can either stock up at the traditional village shop when they arrive or email ahead to have groceries waiting in the apartment. The Post Office is in the same complex and will gladly whisk gleeful postcards home, while the licensed Tea Garden opens on most sunny afternoons.

Anglesey boasts two important Neolithic sites, so dive back through time to Barclodiad y Gawres Passage Grave or the chambered tomb at Bryn Celli Ddu for a peak at the remnants of society 5,000 years ago. Take the 25 miunte drive to the historic Menai Bridge and waterfront before striding out on a walking tour of one of the island's top attractions, or unearth a different side of the past with a trip to eerie cells and chapel at the Beaumaris Gaol Museum. For a more natural view of things, hop aboard a cruise at Beaumaris Pier and froth out to get a look at the wildlife on Puffin Island.

Transport
Train: Bangor train station is roughly 20 miles from the hotel, with regular services to Crewe and connections to the west coast mainline.
Road: Take the A55 west from Chester, connect on to it from A5 by way of the Midlands or South Wales. At Junction 8 to follow the A5025 north towards Amlwch, turning right for Pen-y-sarn.
