Taking pride of place in the historic market town of Hadleigh, The King’s Head is a traditional pub garnished rustic interiors, gourmet grub, and an outdoor beer terrace. The eatery curbs hunger cravings with freshly-prepared seafood and succulent meat dishes, and quenches thirsts with regional East Anglian cask ales. The eatery also keeps diaries topped up with regular in-house events including the Spring Lobster Week, Autumn Beer Festival, and Suffolk Game Week.
Gastro fare could introduce itself with pan-fried king scallops served with black pudding, crispy pancetta, pea shoots, and pea puree (£7.50) or the homemade Blythburgh pork and duck liver pâte with kirsche cherry compote and toasted brioche (£5.50). Main courses include chargrilled rump steak with beer battered onion rings, sautéed mushrooms and hand-cut chips (£17), and the Suffolk turkey, smoked ham and mushroom pie with sautéed potatoes, bacon, and Savoy cabbage (£11.50). Reviews
King’s Head has received some encouraging reviews, and is rated a favourable 4.5/5 stars by TripAdvisors. Diners award special mention to the hearty meals and fresh ingredients, as well as the friendly personnel.
This pub still maintains period features with large fireplaces and leaded windows overlooking the market square. The staff are friendly and the food delicious… [and] is sourced from local producers. Dogs are welcome and they too have their own treat menu to choose from! … So definitely a pub for all the family.

Each time the food has been superb. The prices are very reasonable and the portion sizes are very generous. The service is always excellent from the friendly staff. The pub itself is a typical old English pub with big Oak beams and a large central fire hearth. One of the best pubs and places to eat in Woodbridge.
