With a fragrant menu of meats, fish and vegetables, SiamBuri cooks up authentic Thai cuisine infused with influences from China and India and peppered with European flavours. The colourful cusine is crafted within a contemporary interior adorned with warm hues and ornate framed designs, redolent, like the kitchen's aromas, of Thailand's rich cultural heritage.
Pairs or pairs of pairs of foodies can begin proceedings with starters such as knom jeeb (£5.50), steamed dumplings of minced pork and prawns with garlic, served in a sweet dark soy sauce, or a tom yum mushroom soup (£4.25), vegetarian-friendly and full of fragrant Thai herbs. For the main event patrons can choose from dishes including the weeping tiger beef (£10.95), a grilled, marinated cut of sirloin cooked in herbs and the chefs special sauce; or gang dang pak (£6.95), a Thai red curry accompanied by mixed vegetables, coconut milk and sweet basil leaves. Good service from the minute you walk into the restaurant to when you leave, friendly, attentive, and nothing too much trouble. The food is superb, and good portions. Nice surroundings.
