What's the centre like?
The international-sized ice rink accommodates up to 800 skaters at a time, who can be watched by a further 760 spectators. The Leyton centre, near Clapton train station, is a frequent training venue for ITV's Dancing on Ice skaters.
What lesson options are there?
Both children and adults can learn to ice skate at the centre - as well as toddlers aged 3 to 5 who want to get a head start. As well as these weekly options, there are also crash courses during the school holidays for children, who'll learn the ropes in a mere four straight days.
Can children have their parties there?
Yes - the centre organises children's birthday parties, which include: a coaching session on the basics, a chance to skate during the public session, a party meal, and complimentary invites.
What activities are there other than skating?
The Lee Valley Lions are the local ice hockey team for those who've reached Skate UK Level 4. There are opportunities for under-10s,-12s, -14s, -16s and -18s, with practice on various nights of the week.
