Despite being full of pesto, arrabbiata and ragu, penne just couldn't shake the feeling that there was a hole in its life. Fill the void with today's Groupon: £7 for £20 worth of Italian cuisine for two at Giorgio's Ristorante Italiano.
Serving up a taste of Italy in the sunny north, Giorgio's Ristorante Italiano treats diners with freshly baked bread, handmade desserts, and more antipasti than you could shake a bruschetta at. The Headingly restaurant’s range of menus encompass lunch, a la carte, and children’s selections, are complemented by traditional crispy based pizzas and an extensive collection of national wines that traverse a three-coloured palette of red, white, and rose.
Split into equally tasty sections of pasta, pizza, fish, meat, and gnocchi, Giorgio's dilemma-inducing a la carte menu offers plenty of choice. Diners can tuck into the likes of rigatoni, a dish of king prawns tossed with pureed creamy butternut squash (£9.95) and gnocchi dolcelatte, a homemade potato gnocchi with fresh spinach in a dolcelatte sauce (£8.95). There is also a tempting array of classic Italian desserts and coffees on offer which present diners with the chance to polish off main courses with a spongy tiramisu (£4.75) or maybe a torta al Formaggio cheesecake with mixed berries (£4.75).

Reviews
Giorgio’s earns a bellissimo 4/5 stars from TripAdvisors. Diners write favourably of the authentic meals and fresh ingredients, as well as the attentive personnel.
I visited this lovely small restaurant with my wife for the 1st time last week and will definitely be going back!! The food was really tasty and well presented. We had the salmon pancake and warm salad off the specials to start, 2 pasta dishes for main. Excellent service with little personal touches made it a 5/5.

This little restaurant is excellent. The food is very good and the staff are very helpful and cheerful. We eat there quite often and would recommend this to family and friends. Be sure to book though, as they do get very busy, especially on weekends.
