It is generally considered healthy to enjoy three square meals a day, rather than a triangular burger and a trapezoid topped with relish. Shape up for a steak with today's Groupon at The Blacksmiths Arms. Choose from the following options:• £12 for a steak dinner for two (64% off)
• £22 for a steak dinner for four (67% off)
Existing as a public house for more than 350 years, The Blacksmiths Arms provides both a traditional welcome and historical setting to drink and dine, ingest and imbibe. Standing proud through Stuart and Victorian times, as well as through the modern day flooding of the city, the pub is now run by a husband and wife team with a keen gastronomic emphasis, serving hearty British fare in front of either the roaring fireplace or out in the serene garden. The pair also sells produce, such as organic vegetables and farm eggs, from the premises.
Guests looking to really get their teeth into something will be able to enjoy a steak dinner for either two or four people. This includes an 8oz rump steak each as well as all the tidy trimmings, including home-made chips, grilled tomato, and country peas, to sate any shape of stomach.
The Blacksmiths Arms is rated a highly favourable 4.5/5 stars by TripAdvisors. Earning special mention are the eatery’s flavoursome meals, welcoming atmosphere, and personable customer service.
We visit regularly now we have a boat at the local marina. You are always greeted by friendly staff, the food we have had has been excellent. We are slowly working our way through the menu. The steaks are fab, love the prawn cocktail and the home made coleslaw is to die for! They also make a great Irish coffee, what else do you need. Looking forward to our next visit. [sic]
