Bringing the best of British to the spa town of Harrogate, Alfie’s Place uses locally sourced produce to dish up contemporary cuisine inspired by regional tastes. The modern restaurant is embellished with red and black decor and slick wooden furnishings, as it serves up seasonal offerings in the shape of Chateaubriand steaks, glazed venison, and beer-battered fish and chips. British bites can also be enjoyed in the establishment’s outdoor terrace area on warmer days.

Traditional Sunday spreads may begin with duck pâté with red currant chutney on toasted bread or button mushrooms in a cream and garlic sauce, before tummies get their fill of the main course. Taste buds can take their pick from the following options, all of which will be accompanied by roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and a giant Yorkshire pudding:
Slow-cooked cooked lamb saddle with mint gravy
Pork loin with crackling, sage and onion stuffing, apple sauce, and cider jus
Roast beef served rare with parsnip crisps and beef gravy
Nut roast with a cream cheese sauce

Reviews
Alfie’s Place is rated a tasty 4.5/5 stars by TripAdvisors, who were fans of the extensive menu and eager service.
Loved the goats cheese [sic] starter. Decor was great and the restaurant was very clean and tidy. Waiting staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and conscientious.

We had lamb and medallions of beef for mains and both were well cooked, sauced and presented. The lamb was particularly tasty (locally sourced?). For puddings we had treacle tart and chocolate heaven. Again both were very good.
