Reviews
Brasserie 44 has received a plentiful amount of encouraging reviews, and TripAdvisors rate the lodge an impressive 4/5 stars. While some visitors note that waiting times may increase during busier periods, write-ups are overall very positive. Earning special mention are the polite and attentive staff and innovative, fresh cuisine.
Good restaurant and very close to the city centre. I went here for a Christmas lunch. The atmosphere is quite lively and it's a super location - just outside the city centre. The restaurant has a balcony overlooking the river which I imagine is lovely in the summer. The food was very good though perhaps some of the sauces are a little rich. Good wine list and friendly, efficient staff. A most enjoyable visit and I'll definitely go back.

On a recent stay at 42 The Calls we dined at Brasserie Forty Four, it was a little quiet when we arrived but we received a warm welcome at the bar. We noticed that there have been some mixed reviews but we had none of the bad experiences previously encountered by other diners. The staff were helpful and there was plenty of choice on the menu. The food when it arrived was hot and tasty and there was a good selection of wine to accompany the food. We enjoyed our evening. We look forward to a return in the future.
