Parked on the edge of Millennium Square, …escobar & Cantina spins out vibrant live music events, globe-trotting tipples, and fiery bites from their “cantina’s” Mexican menu. As well as shining the spotlight on big name artists including Arctic Monkeys, The Enemy, and Kate Nash, the establishment keeps glasses topped up with creative cocktails, imported beers, and refreshing spirits and liquors. Stirred with authentic spices, the in-house Mexican restaurant also curbs hunger pangs with the likes of fajitas, enchiladas, and burritos, all accompanied by a selection of sizzling sauces.
After tucking into a plate of homemade and gluten-free tortilla chips topped with bubbling cheese and dipping sauces in the guise of jalapeno chillies, salsa, guacamole, and sour cream (£5.75), taste buds can take their pick from a parade of flavours from the main menu. Choices include spicy beef fajitas served with mixed peppers, onions, and a topping of choice (£14.25), the spiced chicken chimichangas resting on a bed of yellow rice (£11.75), or the bean burger with chillies, a selection of beans, and homemade chips (£10.25). Mexican meals can be washed down with drinks for an additional fee.

Although not widely reviewed at present, ...escobar & Cantina has attracted some very favourable comments from diners, who heap praise upon the Mexican cuisine, friendly service, and agreeable ambiance.
The staff were extremely friendly, we ended up sitting in the bar while we chose our drink and food. When we asked if they would make the non-alcoholic cocktails alcoholic, this was no issue and we were well looked after. For starter, we ordered Nachos to share, which were huge, and lovely! Then for main we ordered Enchiladas and Chimichangas with chips on the side (which we definitely didn't need as the portions are very generous). A nice bottle of red wine to wash it down, and really nice atmosphere made for an excellent evening out.
