About the event
With a cluster of comedians taking to the stage in a gallivanting chuckle tour from the nationally scattered comedy franchise, Jongleurs Comedy on the Road promises suitcases brimming with giggles. Belfast born nipper Ryan McDonnell will be leading the proceedings as compere, introducing his stage compadres Paul Pirie, Richard Morton, and Michael Smiley. Working as a comic springboard for the likes of Graham Norton, Paul Merton, and Jack Dee, Jongleurs is an institution of up and coming artistes and rib tickling minus the feather duster.
The imposing Victorian facade of Huddersfield Town Hall puts a cultural mask on the comedic debauchery and general misdemeanours of the travelling stage. The Thursday night temporary comedy club descends in the centre of town, sitting a hop and skip from Huddersfield railway station and within easy grabbing distance of a host of belly shaking eateries.
