Eating Thai is not to be confused with eating tie, as many people find the latter doesn't suit them. Tuck it in with today's Groupon from Thai Erawan. Choose from the following options:
• £12 for a two course meal for two (66% off)• £21 for a two course meal for four (70% off)

The family-run Thai Erawan is dedicated to creating a broad yet carefully prepared range of authentic Thai cuisine, using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. As well as running a thriving eatery, the enterprise offers cookery classes to teach Thailand’s culinary arts. The chefs call on their years of foody experience to please palettes with dishes that can be tailored to individual preferences, and the restaurant is open until 11pm seven days a week.
Friends, loved ones or pillow fight sparring partners can be treated to a starter and main from the à la carte menu. There are starters such as chopped prawn and chicken wrapped in a crispy seaweed roll (£6.50), while popular mains include the gai ta ron, comprising chicken, beef, or duck stir-fried with black pepper, lime leaves, lemon grass and fresh chilli served on a hot sizzling platter (up to £10.95). Or there's the pad Thai with chicken (£8.95), or pad prew wan with beef stir-fried with sweet and sour sauce, onion, tomato, cucumber and pineapple (£9.95). Everything is cooked fresh to order, so those allergic to microwaves can chew in blissful peace.
Reviews
Thai Erawan has been rated an encouraging 3.5/5 stars on TripAdvisor. While some diners found the service could be improved, there was consistent praise for the well-prepared and authentic food.
We then ordered starters both of which were excellent the "dtom yam gung" was as good as I have had, or made, here in the UK or in Thailand and the relish that accompanied my partners Fish cakes took us right back there.

The Thai curries were lovely and the soups seemed to have a million different flavours which combined beautifully. I was so full when I left…
