Enjoying spectacular views over the Fulneck Valley, this eighteenth century pub boasts a stellar cask ale selection along with painstakingly selected guest beers, wines and spirits. Fresh, seasonal ingredients tweak traditional British fare to accommodate culinary muses from around the globe, sweetened by a daily desert menu. The beer garden boasts panoramic views across the valley, while an inviting interior comes complete with open log fires, exposed brick walls and wooden panelling.

The succinct menu melds comfort foods with fine dining, with starters that include deep-fried brie with a chilli sauce (£3.95) and the artfully-presented belly of pork smothered in a tangy BBQ sauce (£3.95). Beef stew lounges among the mains, served up with dumplings in a rich homemade gravy (£6.95), with other dishes including chicken breast in white wine and mushroom sauce(£8.45). After dinner, diners can enjoy a cup of coffee, or a dessert from the specials board if they opted out of a savoury starter.

Reviews
The Bankhouse Inn has garnered plenty of fine reviews, and is rated a decent 3.5 by TripAdvisors. Reviewers are keen to praise the quality of food, welcoming atmosphere and attentive personnel.
This pub is my local, which I really appreciate. There is always a warm welcome and akin to public houses as they used to be. Nice food, always busy, real fire in winter. Good for walkers, children and dogs are welcome, although nice even to go just as a couple. The occasionally have live bands too . br /> – 40Liz40, TripAdvisor, Nov 2011
I discovered this a few months ago and go about once a month with friends or family. I generally go at lunchtime and have a hot sandwich or burger, and it has always been excellent. Good kids menu too and all well priced. The beer garden is pretty big and the views over Tong Valley on a sunny day are glorious. Lovely to walk around the Moravian village of Fulneck just 2 minutes away. Highly recommended!
