• £55 for six people (Up to 69% off)
Hailing in the culinary heritage of the red, green, and yellow, Porto Gomez serves up a sunny arrangement of authentic Portuguese cuisine. The restaurant embraces the notion of the rustic with burgundy-hued walls, wooden beams, and exposed brickwork as it keeps tables topped up with spicy piri-piri chicken, grilled seafood, and slow-cooked belly of pork.
Portuguese portraits will be painted with a starter, such as the tapas with cheese, chorizo, and dry-cured presunto ham (£4.99) or a plate of grilled sardines (£4.99), before being brought to life with the main courses. The palette of flavours include the likes of the sirloin steak topped with an egg and served with hand-cut chips (£14.99), the chargrilled piri-piri chicken with hand-cut chips or rice and a side salad (£7.99). The culinary canvas will be sweetened with a choice of dessert (£3.99), and will be signed off with a cup of coffee (up to £2.49) and a tipple of Port (up to £3) each.
Reviews
TripAdvisors award Porto Gomez a glowing 4.5/5 stars, and write favourably of the authentic and appetising cuisine, attention to detail and welcoming personnel.
Lovely place with great food. The staff are all really friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble - even offering to wrap food for us to take home as portions were very generous. Great value for money and a very child friendly restaurant.

We visited this restaurant on a Thursday evening, although it was not very busy, we still had a lovely night. Had a couple of drinks in the bar area before having a very authentic Portuguese meal. The king prawn in garlic starter was gorgeous, seemed it was a small family run business, they were very friendly and welcoming towards us. Decorated in traditional Portuguese style playing Portuguese music ...
