Taking a contemporary approach to traditional tastes, The Red Veil provides an exhibition of exotic flavours from around Asia and the Middle East, inspired by a much-travelled head chef. Diners are welcomed into an elegantly modern venue, steeped in rich red hues and adorned with decorative touches, and complemented by a bar complete with a bubbling water feature. Behind the opulent seating, the well-stocked kitchen turns out an array of stylishly presented sub-continental suppers. 
The culinary work of art will be drawn out with a starter, such as the mixed kebab (£4.95) or chicken tikka purée (£2.95), before being brought to life with a main course. The palette of flavours includes the likes of the mixed karai with capsicums and onions (£9.95), the lamb almashiki cooked with ginger, onions, and tomatoes (£5.95), or the Dhaka murghi with chicken tikka, peaches, cream, cardamom, and bay leaves (£5.95). The finishing touches will come in the shape of a rice dish (up to £2.95) or naan bread (up to £2.25) each, as well as a traditional sweet-toothed treat (£4.25). There is a varied menu with a number of items that you do not get at other indian restaurants and presentation of dishes is great. Service is efficient and friendly and we will be back again soon.
