The Hercules Inn presented by Groupon.co.uk
£20.50 For Two Course Meal With Glass Of Wine For Two at The Hercules Inn (Up to £52.40 Value)
Parkour may be a popular urban sport in which thrill seekers jump between buildings, but Porkour is the name given to a group of daredevil pigs that leap between sites. Enjoy a flying visit to the village with today’s Groupon: for £20.50, a two course meal for two with a glass of wine each at The Hercules Inn.
Nestled in the historic heart of Sutton Cheney in the Leicestershire countryside, the exposed beams, wooden floors and log-lined walls of The Hercules Inn convey the slightly crooked charm of a tradition country ale emporium, while serving an array of sophisticated contemporary European dishes to impress city slickers and rural retreaters alike. The cosy pub, which hosts well-loved Chesterfields, a log fire through winter and a private garden in the warmer months, has a good selection of tipples to doff the flat cap at, including a hand-picked wine list and cask pales. The restaurant is headed up by Luke Fienne, who has thoughtfully produced a sumptuous menu to include the best local produce where ever possible, that can be enjoyed in the romantic, intimate dining room or the more relaxed setting of the main pub area.

Gourmet loving Groupon holders can enjoy two courses for two people with a starter and main from the a la carte menu (some items incur a surcharge, please see fine print). While sipping on a large glass of wine or soft drink, diners can make the difficult starter selection, perhaps opting for the Lambs Liver & Bacon Pate (£5.75) or Smoked Bacon and Black Pudding Salad (£5.75). For main satisfy with Saffron Gnocci (£10.95) or stuff one’s self with Local Rare Breed Pork, served with Caramelised Apple Tart, Broccoli Puree and Wild Garlic Dressing (£13.95).

The menu was as ever imaginative, reflecting the season, and artistically served - so tempting that we shared our pigeon starter with her black pudding, and main of succulent pheasant and her steak - excellent chips also. The place was buzzing, so great ambiance

the Menu was comprehensive and we particularly loved the fact that food was not only sourced locally but suppliers were listed on the back page - most unusual and very refreshing to see! In reality, we weren't disappointed with our choices and we had no complaints at all about the quality and quantities of our food.
