Set in a 400 year old textile industry building, one of the oldest edifices in the city, Taps has allowed the vintage feel of the interiors to be brought to life alongside more contemporary design touches with exposed brickwork and seating amongst the grand vaulted arches. What gives Taps its moniker though is the unusual and imaginative idea for each table, outside of the bar area, to have its own monitored beer tap, allowing guests to pour and enjoy as little or as much as they like, to then be charged for what has come through the tap.

Bearers of this Groupon can select their choice of a starter, main and dessert per person from the ample array on offer on the Taps Three Course Set Menu. The culinary emphasis is on freshly sourced, quality ingredients fashioned into classic, homely dishes such as the Oven Roasted Chicken on Black Pudding Mash with a creamy Chive Sauce and this can all be enjoyed with a complementary glass of wine for each eager diner.

This bar is a diamond in the rough! After a busy day in Leicester we came across Taps and couldn't believe what we had stumbled across. It was fantastic. Excellent, friendly service, great music, brilliant food and all the cubby holes make it so romantic... and my boyfriend loved the beer on tap. Can't wait to visit again.
