Housed in a charming redbrick former fire station, The Bay Tree serves hot and cold treats seven days a week, and boasts a large al fresco seating area beside the canal. As well as delectable breakfast foods, the eatery tickles taste buds with lunch items ranging from fishcakes to the quiche of the day, and there are dedicated gluten-free and children's menus.
Two peckish patrons are invited to enjoy a choice of hot griddled panini each, with choices including bacon, cheese and mushroom, or veggie options such as brie, pesto and sundried tomato; and all paninis are served with salad and homemade coleslaw. To sate sweet teeth, both customers will be able to tuck into a Danish pastry each, and a choice of tea or coffee to wash it all down.
