Tailoring European fare to refined tastes, this award-winning restaurant turns out culinary classics and innovations alike within the sleek Castle Hotel. Reform Restaurant matches the elegance of its Bailgate location with a clutch of seasonal menus, and enlists fresh, local produce to jazz up its plates. Stylishly understated decor lets the flavours take centre stage, while an extensive wine list complements feasts with an international array of tipples.

Perusing the à la carte menu, diners can commence this two-course treat with starters such as a crab, salt cod, and crème fraiche rillette (£7.50), or perhaps a stilton and port mousse with celery, candied walnut, and apple (£6.50). Once appetites have been whetted, gourmets can move on to mains which include confit of Redhill Farm belly pork with artichoke risotto, seared scallops, and jerk pigeon (£22.95), or a spinach, sweet pepper, and potato torte (£11.95) for epicurean herbivores.

Reviews

The Reform Restaurant has received a delicious 4.5/5 from TripAdvisor users, and a highly positive write-up from This Is Lincolnshire. Diners complimented the decor, and especially commended the attentive service and the quality of the food.

The whole evening was exceptional, the food, the service, the ambience, all only bettered by the company. It wasn't easy for the hotel having three decent size parties in on the same evening but it all worked like clockwork.

Everything is excellent in this well-appointed restaurant. The service is 100%, scrupulous but not over-familiar. The food exquisite, and the portions are such that you can comfortably enjoy 3 courses and not feel bloated.

Groupon Says

The Dos and Don'ts of Feeding The Ducks

DON’T trust ducks. Throw them a bit of bread, and before you know it they'll be knocking on your door late at night, asking to borrow a bit of cash and your favourite CDs.

DON’T let a duck waddle towards a potential girlfriend. Even with webbed feet, they're still renowned for being great with chicks.

DO make them work for their prize, like in The Crystal Maze. Place one duck under a shopping basket, then see how much crust the others are willing to spare for his release.

DON’T take a duck to a high-end restaurant. There might be duck on the menu, people will definitely shoot you funny looks, and things might get even more awkward than usual when talk turns to the bill.
