Indulging taste buds in fine dining dishes from within the Grade II listed Alexander and Vitoria Hotel, The Dining Rooms dish up a range of delicacies, harnessing cuisine from around the world to please palates. Head chef Michael Cartmell masterfully mixes fresh ingredients, creating exciting combinations which are snappily presented in this modern conservatory restaurant. A location a stone's skip from the Southport’s promenade makes after dinner excursions all the easier. 
After being seated and insuring stomachs have ample room, a five course taster meal is rolled out with a smorgasbord of treats to choose from. The meal consists of a pre-starter, starter, main course, pre-dessert, dessert and a soothing cup of freshly ground coffee with mints to finish. Dishes encountered in this gastronomic journey include seared fillet of beef with salad and truffle mayonnaise, onion, olive and feta cheese tart and a brie and blue cheese platter.

The Dining Rooms at the Alexandra and Victoria Hotel received a tasty 4/5 from one enthusiastic Yelper, while TripAdvisors rated the hotel itself 3/5. Though TripAdvisors’ comments were focused on the accommodation, several users complimented the décor and quality of food found in The Dining Rooms.
The dining room was light and airy and had a mixed feel of modern and Victorian décor, which they had managed to blend very well.
