About the event
Making a fuss about mums with traditional roast dinner trimmed with Motown entertainment, Devonshire House will be staging a Sunday of shenanigans for families to show optimal appreciation. A three course carvery meal offers a choice of beef, turkey, or ham, sharing plate-space with all the necessary accompaniments, and a vegetarian option will be up for grabs for those feeling less carnivorous. Once desserts are polished off, guests can welcome singer Alfie Benson to the stage, who will croon the afternoon away with his take on smooth soul classics.

Other attractions
The soothing stage entertainment will be followed by an upbeat set from the resident DJ, who will be rocking the dancefloor until long past bedtime. Families who fancy a night out could treat mum to an overnight break in one of 54 rooms, or a trip to the city centre as the the hotel is within a happy taxiing distance. The Wavertree Botanic Gardens sit across the road, offering appetite inducing strolls, and the hotel keeps its own foliage competitively pristine, allowing for after-dinner admiration.

Food in restaurant was excellent and bar area, although a little dated, is cosy and friendly.
