Laying down a great track requires a solid bassline, a catchy rhythm, and an abundance of railway sleepers. Get on board the groove train with today’s Groupon: £29 for a two hour recording studio session for up to two people with mixing of two tracks and CDs to take home at Mersey City Music.
Kicking out the jams with high-tech recording and rehearsal equipment, Mersey City Music digs out Liverpool’s rock star roots with seven kitted-out practice rooms and two modern studios. A team of passionate musicians and sound engineers ensure sounds run smoothly throughout sessions and are on hand to give advice and technical help. The beat goes on until 11pm 7 days a week, accommodating for musicians in the throes of impromptu jazz odysseys, while free parking and lifts allow roadies to unload hefty instruments.
Musicians can bring their own backing tracks or instruments and enjoy a session with up to two performers, with expert mixing provided by a sound engineer. Each songsmith will receive a CD of their final mix at the end of the session, and a DVD of the performance can be obtained for a supplementary price.
