About The Event
Taking the operatic lead on the Last Night of The Proms, Russell Watson will spin his melodic magic around a series of classic songs, such as Jerusalem and Land of Hope and Glory. Russell will be accompanied at this outdoor concert by the Manchester Camerata Orchestra and a series of local performers. With a 5pm start, music fans are encouraged to bring along picnics and blankets to wrap up warm and enjoy a cocktail sausage or two while enjoying the stage's magnificent sounds. The concert will end with a firework display, signally the conclusion of a music-filled weekend with a night sky set colourfully ablaze.

About The Venue
National Trust centre, Speke Hall, sets its Tudor frame in the midst of Victorian gardens which run harmoniously along the banks of the River Mersey. Accompanying the historic tours and garden walks that have been the traditional staple of the manor house, is its new status as a concert venue. The magnificent grounds of the house and gardens will provide a peaceful setting for the Last Night of The Proms, with the lovingly restored gardens amiable to both picnic and warbler.
