Nestled on the outskirts of central Liverpool a short stroll from Old Roan rail station, The Village Inn wafts home-cooked aromas of hearty pub grub from its kitchen seven days of the week. This Aintree pub is neatly refurbished with a homely feel in burgundy reds and rich wood furnishings, and sources fresh ingredients from local suppliers where possible.
The maroon menus open up to reveal prawn cocktail (£3.95), crispy duck spring rolls (£3.45), and olives and humous with pitta bread (£3.45) among the starters. Mains include rib eye steaks served with homemade chips (£11.95), alongside the mixed grill (£9.95) and mushroom linguini (£5.95).
