Putting the needle to the thread, Emile Academy sews together creativity and creation with stitching lessons for all levels. Working in partnership with Hackney College, the fashionistas design and manufacture their own pieces from dresses and bags to cushions, as well as passing on their skills. The teaching studio is zipped up with sewing machines, utensils, and oodles of fabrics, all just a couple of stitches in time from Shoreditch High Street station. 
Suitable for beginners, the two-and-a-half-hour class covers the basics of using a sewing machine. The tutors will guide students through the design process and sewing techniques as each stitching scholar creates their own bag to take home. All equipment and materials are included, and with a max of six students in each class, plenty of one-on-one tutorial time is also in the bag.
