Dumplings are known for their inability to add, as they are constantly making dim sums. Multiply culinary pleasure with today's Groupon: £18 for a dim sum and dumpling platter for two with a cocktail each at The Gate Notting Hill.
Asian-inspired cuisine and a stirringly lengthy cocktail menu fuse the intricate flavours of the East with the sophistication and elegance of West London at The Gate Notting Hill. This intimate space invites epicureans and hedonists into the heart of Notting Hill, seating them in sumptuous leather booths, or beckoning all manners of shapes to be thrown and caught on the dance floor. The smooth moves extend to the menu, which feature à la carte and dim sum dishes, and the cocktail list, heavy with concoctions ranging from the classic to the wasabi-tinged innovative.

Hopping flightily from Notting Hill tube station, pairs of diners can discover bite-sized samples of The Gate's menu with a platter of dim sum and dumplings (£20), enjoying the selection of the Japanese and Chinese-inspired take on the mini mounds of flavour. Palates can be rinsed with a cocktail each, choosing from any on the menu, including a mojito topped with Baron DE Mark Champagne (£10) or a Midori & Wasabi Sour(£9.50).

I shared a few platters of dim sum with friends, then was able to keep the table as a base for the rest of the evening. We stayed till later in the club there was a good crowd and good music.

In an area that is constantly changing (and not necessarally [sic] for the better), the Gate seems to be a long lasting Notting Hill Gem where you can expect a good night out, Notting Hill style. A great mixture of croud [sic], fantastic atmosphere and great food.
